Home Decorating Trends by State

So have you ever wondered how others decorate their homes?  Driven by a beautiful house and wonder what's inside?  I know I have.  Well, a new survey by Next Day Blinds answers all that!  Heck, here in NY, we love to decorate with mirrors!  I guess we like to look at ourselves a lot!  Check out the chart below for your state!  

For those of you wondering what Alabama is up to, a Pouf is another name for a fancy ottoman but it differs in that it is used for seating.  And go figure that Alaska needs hearths!  It gets cold up there! New Mexico likes to party with their bar carts and Wyoming must go without power a lot to have all those lanterns!  

People have their likes and dislikes for sure. Sometimes, we change decor with the season or maybe each room has it's own theme.  Bold patterns and Artisan themes seem to be big in 2018, along with natural elements.  Lilac has hit the top of the list in paint colors and Olive Green is making its way up there as well.

However it is you choose to decorate, have fun with it, be you and let your personality shine through!
