Anything That Floats on Conesus Lake
Dawn LoPresto
Want something fun to do with the family in July on Conesus Lake? Why not join the Anything That Floats Regatta! Build your own boat of recycled materials and race other teams. There will be prizes, music, food, and good times. There is a $50 entrance fee.
This event draws people from the community together and is held at Vital Park in Lakeville. Fun times are had by all who attend and the competition is fun and entertaining!
Teams consist of 2-5 members and the rules are pretty simple. No motors or boats of any kind. Everything must be hand made, including paddles and sails. Life vests must be worn. For a complete list of rules and for a registration form, please visit Chip Holt Nature Center Website.
The race will be held on July 28th at 11:00am.
The main rule is to have fun and be safe. It is always fun to see what people will build and what works and certainly what does not! We hope this years Regatta will be just as fun as past years!
