Buyer Questions Answered

Buying a home can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be if you are prepared. conesuslake.com can help make your buying experience stress free. Below are some of the most common questions home buyers have.  Preparing yourself ahead of time can help give you peace of mind and make your home buying process much easier.

What home can I afford? Meet with a lender to get pre-approved for a home loan (added bonus: pre-approval makes you much more attractive to sellers).  Looking at homes outside of your price range, will lead to disappointment. Your income and other financial obligations will determine what you can afford.

Can I buy a home and sell mine at the same time? The answer is yes. However, keep in mind, that buying a home before you sell yours, can overextend you financially.  On the other hand, if you sell your home, before you buy, you may need to rent or find a temporary place to live until you close on a new home.  There are ways to do both at once, by setting a "sale contingency" in your contract.  This means, you would only agree to buy a new home if you can sell yours.  Some sellers are fine with this, others can still take offers without contingencies over your contract.

How many homes can I look at before I decide to make an offer? This is totally up to you! The average is approximately 10 homes, but some people look at more or less, depending on the research they have done ahead of time.  Searching for homes on line such as at conesuslake.com and narrowing down your search can save you time!
