It's Hemlock Week

Hemlock, New York is a sleepy little hamlet in Livingston County.  Surrounded by natural beauty, most folks (who even know about it) appreciate the quiet, slow pace of this small community.  But not this week!!!  The annual Hemlock Fair opens this week and will turn Hemlock into the region's destination point for the next 5 days.

The Hemlock Fair offers fun for everyone.  Step out of your car, and the sites, sounds and smells are too familiar, Hemlock Fair!!  Some good and some... Well??  Still good in a Hemlock-Fair-kind-of-way.  You'll hear engines roaring, the loud speaker announcer, carnival music, and kids yelling & laughing.  You'll see plenty of characters, animals, farm equipment, games, rides and more.  You'll smell fried dough, home made french fries, smoke from engines, and in the barns... well??  Some less pleasant aromas.

The "Little Worlds Fair" has been a summer time staple in the area since 1857.  Hemlock Fair is rich in history and this year this history will be commemorated with the Grand Opening of The Heritage Musuem Complex right on the Fairgrounds.  So come enjoy the rides, games, agriculture, entertainment, and terrific grand stand events.  For more info on the event schedule click here!
